Earn While You Learn
Introduction A Hope Center was led in 2005 to change our assistance program. Characterized as an "assistance through education" program, Earn While You Learn was implemented to more effectively give clients a hand up rather than a hand out. Although the previous assistance program demonstrated an outpouring of love to the community, its minimal requirements for eligibility lacked the depth necessary to reach the core of clients' true need for love and encouragement toward successful living. The EWYL program empowers clients by encouraging responsibility, accountability, and diligence to work for Bonus Bucks through education. Bonus Bucks are then used in the Bonus Room client store to purchase beautiful new and used maternity and baby items by loving parents who are eager for education and proud of their accomplishments.
A Hope Center regularly purchases diapers, cribs, bassinets, and car seats, but relies on the community for the following in-kind donations:

With the success of our Earn While You Learn program comes the need for more and more supplies to provide for eager moms and dads who are earning bonus bucks to spend in our three Bonus Room stores.
