Considering that people of all economic strata, racial boundries, and geographic region demonstrate the need for A Hope Center services, we were discouraged to discover that only 5% of our clients reported living in the southwest of Fort Wayne. This challenged us to try and reach more hurting people in our city by being visible and available in their own neighborhood. As a result, A Hope Center opened a third satellite office by Jefferson Pointe in November, 2007.

It was our hope that this new office would be a beacon to people visiting from all regions of Fort Wayne and beyond. Jefferson Pointe is a crossroads of our community, bringing people interested in fun, food, and shopping; and the Rave theatre is a magnet for Fort Wayne youth. Reports demonstrate our hopes for a wide geographic draw to be true. As of July 1, 2009, our Southwest center has served clients from 17 zip codes in Fort Wayne and 20 zip codes from surrounding areas. South Whitley, Lagrange, Huntington, and New Haven are just a few examples. January through May of 2009 shows a 145% increase in client visits over 2008, now averaging 153 client visits a month. Hours have just been expanded on June 29, 2009 to include Mondays from 10AM to 4PM. Even more opportunities for ministry will be available; thank you for taking a step of faith with us!
