The spring banquet event provides an opportunity to celebrate, inspire, and unify our partnership in ministry. AHC friends look forward to the banquet’s keynote address, which is consistently delivered by a talented speaker who motivates a room full of people with a message of life.
Attend the 2013 Banquet In order to sustain unparalleled growth in services for our community, the ministry support base is challenged to grow. Attending the banquet is an easy way to help. The tickets are free, but a commitment to attend is necessary, and you will be asked to consider partnership in ministry through financial giving. Table hosts are used to fill the event. Many AHC friends who agree to be table hosts say it is easy to invite people they know who will appreciate A Hope Center’s mission.

Over 1,000 people graced a grand venue at the War Memorial Coliseum for 2012's annual banquet. The year's keynote speaker was Shawn Carney: Co-founder of 40 Days for Life, record-breaking fundraiser, and television personality. Shawn Carney is one of the youngest and most inspirational pro-life speakers in America today.
In 2004, Shawn helped to lead the first-ever 40 Days for Life campaign in College Station, Texas. This breakthrough initiative – made up of 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion, round-the-clock peaceful vigil outside a local abortion center, and grassroots door-to-door outreach – dropped local abortion numbers by 28%.
Shawn’s experience in local and national pro-life ministry has led him across America, inspiring audiences at pregnancy center events, conferences, fundraising banquets, churches, colleges, and high schools. His passion for helping women and the unborn is contagious.
Shawn's passion and vigor was surely felt as he spoke of his personal experiences that have shaped his love and devotion to the ministry. He challenged us all to recognize the potential we have to make a change in our world through prayer, fasting, and giving of our resources.
Almost $176,000 in pledges was raised for the purpose of sustaining life ministry in our community. These preliminary numbers leave us about $20,000 short of our fundraising goal.
